Rock House Design reimagines life at home in comfortably beautiful interiors shaped to elevate the everyday
Over the course of her 25-year career, interior designer Lauren Brandwein has developed a kind of sixth sense when it comes to discerning her clients’ needs and desires for their homes.
“It’s like a superpower, in a way,” laughs Brandwein when explaining her process for getting started on a new design. “I get to know my clients and tap into what they need, and then I tie that into designing a space that is uniquely theirs.”
It’s a skill that has earned Brandwein and her Sonoma County-based boutique interior architecture and design firm, Rock House Design (RHD), a reputation for impeccable personal spaces that eschew trends and formulaic design solutions in favor of highly personalized interiors that radiate with bespoke comfort and beauty.
“I like to find that ‘aha’ moment with a client,” Brandwein says. “It can be something as simple as a client’s personal art piece or a unique vintage light fixture—that one element that really resonates with them— and then build out from there.”
Rich texture stories and a knack for bringing delightfully unexpected elements Rock House Design reimagines life at home in comfortably beautiful interiors shaped to elevate the everyday into her designs are a trademark of Brandwein’s cohesively timeless aesthetic. Her clean, uncluttered, and warmly inviting interiors are a signature thread running throughout RHD’s diverse portfolio, from farmhouse-style homes to modern, and everything in between. Coupled with the firm’s dedication to exceptional customer service and seamless project management, Brandwein’s goal is to ensure the process is as enjoyable as the finished product.
“There’s a vast universe of architecture and design to consider,” Brandwein says. “Finding what fits you is life changing. I love achieving that for my clients. It’s the best part of what I’m fortunate I get to do.”
